Have you ever ordered a salad and when it got there it was a huge salad? I mean enough to feed at least 5-6 people? And if so what were you thinking and did you get any comments from others?

I have gotten salads that were worth the price. There was this pizza place in my town I ordered a salad and had all my favorites like peppers, feta cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers etc. It was so big that I ended up taking it home or eating for lunch the next day. I love getting salads from neighborhood fast food joints cause sometimes they throw in a big piece of garlic bread.

Hi, one of the traditional dishes here is a Greek salad which is a huge bowl of tomatoes, cucumber, green peppers, red onions, olives, all soaked in olive oil and served with a mound of feta cheese on top. Usually one or two are ordered for the centre of the table depending on how many are eating. It is really amusing to see a couple of tourists sitting down and ordering a Greek salad each and then looking horrified at the size of their starters.

Yes I have, and I ate every bit of it, haha! Even though I'm very small, I eat quite a bit and people are amazed at what I can put away. There was a salad once I ordered and it was huge, I think it was some kind of chicken, fruit type salad. The girls I went with were laughing so hard at me because it took up so much room on the table and it was just piled up. It was good though, yummy!

it has never happened to me but i have seen it happened to others.they were always shocked to see the huge portion of salad.if it was my wife then she would share it with me. but the thing about salads is that they often look a lot on your plate because they take up so much space but in reality it's not really that much.besides, they're vegetables so they won't really make you stuffed, and they're healthy.

You can eat a lot of salad! It's not as filling as many dishes and is healthier than many as well. Of course, it depends on the ingredients and the dressing amounts and seasoning as well. Most restaurants offer "main dish" or "appetizer" or "side" salads" re the size you want. If you have ordered a huge salad in a restaurant and you do not want to share with another person, or there is none to share with, make sure to have dressing put on the side, and only dress what you will eat at that time. Then pack up your leftovers "undressed", ask for extra dressing with your take out leftovers, and enjoy for as many extra meals as you choose to make of it at home. I'm a fan of BIG food, so I like to see a huge amount on my plate, at home or away. Of course, at home I can make really big salads to serve as a hearty meal because they can stand alone. I follow the same rule as if I were eating out though, by dressing only what I will eat in the present. Then, when I pack it up and put it in the fridge, it will not wilt so fast and will stay fresh and crisp enough for another meal or two, to be dressed when I'm ready to eat.
