Sometimes I go away for a weekend in my home country. One time I celebrated Valentines Day in Belgium and it was lovely to see the old buildings plus the pretty canals. I took my toddler son away for a short break in the North East. We explored a castle overlooking the coast, visited a garden with a tree house and went out on a boat trip to see some seals plus birds. I like to have a camping trip in the summer time.

Hotels are pretty pricey for me which is why I only check in to a hotel when it is free. My mom works in the Hotel Industry so sometimes she has free hotel stays as gifts and of course our family is very happy to use these gifts. lol. When I travel to other places, I do spend time in hotels because the comfort and proximity of most hotels are usually much better than most inns.

I only usually do if I'm going out of town. I rarely ever check into a hotel when I'm in my own area, in my city, because in that case, it's like: what's the point in wasting money when I have a perfectly good house to spend my time in?
