Ok I'm going to sound like a bum but I'm on unemployment at the moment, and each week you have to apply for a job. Usually I've been doing online applications for like places like Walmart, Walgreens, places at the mall etcetera, just because I know those jobs probably won't try to hire me because I'm looking for a higher wage, but in order to get my money each week I have to put in another application...can anyone help me out and tell me about any other jobs that have online applications? If you can thanks, if not, it's cool.

Check out your local city and county websites and see if they have an employment section. Also the Federal government lists jobs by cities and you can usually apply online. Community colleges and universities also usually take advantage of online job application filings. And, no, you don't sound like a bum...not with the unemployment rate as high as it is in this country. I have been out of work for over a year and there's nothing in my area. By the way, welcome to mylot. This is a nice site so I hope you enjoy yourself here. I meant to welcome you in my other response but forgot.

You may want to apply for jobs at public schools. Most schools have the applications online. These applications sometmes are a little longer than others but still you can fill the application out on the computer. Schools do have a lot of classified positions (postions that do not require a teaching certification). If you get hired many times these jobs do have good benefits; although, the pay might be a little on the low side. Other suggestions for online job applications: Hospitals Temp Agencies Banks Credit Unions I wish you the best in this tough economic times with finding a job. We've all been there at sometime in our lives. The last thing I would suggest is have you heard about the whole social networking for jobs thing that has been going on lately. Most of these, I've heard of is like you go to a networking event but maybe there is something like that online. You might also check the local news websites many times they will post things like financial survival guides or resources for those that are looking for jobs.
