How often do you trade up your cell phone?

My hubby I swear gets a new one atleast once a year or more. It drives me bats... there's always something wrong with it or it's not just "so". Whereas I have only had 2 cell phones in the past 8 or so years. I simply got a new cell phone as mine was no longer keeping a charge or working properly. And frankly very outdated so I got a new one last year.

Since most cell phones are contracted for two years they aren't designed to last much more then that. I usually end up grading once a year to a year and a half. This keeps the phone from waring out too much and then I'll have a backup should I end up needing it in the end which turns out to be useful. Otherwise I wouldn't have a phone now.

To be true, I am crazy about gadgets, and I would have loved to trade my cellphone every now and then to keep up with the present technology.Unfortunately, I am still a student(don'y have any money to do so
).And quite naturally, my father will not allow all these things.

I bought my cellphone in August of last year, so I have awhile before I can upgrade again. I wish I had waited as there are better phones out there now, but I can't afford to keep buying them as they are quiet expensive, and I just don't have the money right now. I will just have to deal with it for now, even though I can't do much with it as far as the internet is concerencd as the phone doesn't have a flash player nor does it have java. I don't go online with it all that much because of it, so I am going to have to deal with it for now. I guess I get to excited and want buy things when I see them, but I have to stop doing that, as I just have to be more tight with one I do have. I probably won't upgrad until later in the year, or next year. Take care, and happy myloting.

My husband is on his second cell phone in three years, he had to get a new one because his wouldn't hold a charge any longer either. It was a used phone to begin with, his dad gave it to him when I was almost due with my son.
I've had four or five phones over the entire course of the time that I've had a cell phone, so over the course of about thirteen years. Normally I get a new phone when my mother has renewed her contract, but I don't get new phones in between. Actually the contracts get renewed only because of the fact that someone in the family needs a new phone.
