many people work for night shift, but when you compare them with day workers both may be doing work for same hours but night shifters get more tired. do you think night shifter should be paid more?

I have worked in night shifts and I can tell you this that is really breaks you down. Our body has a natural time mechanism which tends to make us fall asleep at night and when someone tries to overcome this function it really drains almost all the energy out. Its really very hard and so I think they should be paid more.

I think 50% more is good enough. Meaning if you earn $400 in day shift than $600 is good for a night shift. What do you think?

sure friend night shifters should be paid more.night is the right and good time to sleep.at least six hours we should sleep for a day friend.in day time we wont get nice sleep.there will be always some disturbance around us in day time.so night shifters don't have a good sleep in morning also so sure they may have some health problem so they should be paid more. have a nice day :)

Night shift people get more pay because fewer people want to work that shift. It requires more discipline to do it and some people like it.

yes i do believe that workers with night shifts should be paid more. working at night is quite unnatural for our body. hence it puts up stress, even if the worker takes complete rest at daytime.

Definitely. Changing sleeping patterns puts extra strain on a healthy body.

Darkness makes us tired. Thus night shift workers have to work a bit harder to stay awake. It is called the graveyard shift for a reason, after all. So perhaps they should get paid a bit more. Most certainly, they should not get paid any less.
