A thought provoked by my first discussion

In a reply from my first discussion, a responder made an assumption about me then said something to the effect of "no offense meant". Made me think; I know we sometimes say things we don't mean but I have never been guilty of typing something I don't mean! If I type something I can tell ya: I have thought about it, I have re-read it and I most certainly mean it and if it offends you it was meant to!

He he he...I can remember, wayback August 2009 after I joined mylot for over a month I found my discussion of getting cold. When I started on July 2009, I can't sleep early because I am very excited to answer my respondents. It is in my first month where I met those various offenders. Now I lost them, my chance of having a bulk of replies also decreases. Somehow, I wish to thank those offenders of mine. They are the real person in some cases.Honestly, there are so many good people by their own words but just hiding their true color.

Hi CristiansNana, Indeed, this was one of the things I learned in my class on manners. Supposedly when you say "no offense", it means the opposite. For me, I take what my teacher said donkey years back with a pinch of salt. I feel that the TONE of how you say something is of vital importance. So if I really got into a situation where I need to say no offense, I will try see if it is the best thing to say. Can I say something else to show my remorse instead? Perhaps I can make up to that person in another way? Or maybe I just have to say "no offense" but it will be loaded with the right one and facial expression. Cheers!

Hi CristiansNana, I honestly express my opinion, but hopefully, I leave enough room for myself to walk out with grace in the event I find myself to be wrong. I have made quite a few mistakes in my life. That is why I now keep my options open letting others have their say as well. :) Who knows, I might be wrong once again. :) So I dont go offensive, but I do state what I think as logically as I can express.
