How do you get followers on twitter?

It seems like most bloggers are getting their followers on twitter. I am new to twitter, and I would like to enquire about it. Does anyone here uses twitter? How do you get some followers?

the easiest way is to add your friends ??
or just keep twittering on subjects that you want too twitter on, lets say making money for an example eventually you will get followers who are interested in that topic,
tho don't spam loads of links as you will soon loose your followers.

I have account in twitter but i rarely visit my twitter account. I recently prefer facebook b'coz I often chat with my friends there. Uhhmm.... i'll consider to be there more often.

i new in twitter too but now i have 60follower in my profile. i get the follower by i follow someone n then they back follow me..

Yes, that is true, but sometimes they don't do that. You add them and they just don't follow you back. :P

First step would be to get all your friends as followers. Do you have any friends who use twitter? Make sure they add you. You could go around adding a bunch of people, hoping they will add you back. I add everyone that adds me on my blog. (See profile) You could just post your link around. For example what is your twitter about? I sometimes answer questions in yahoo, telling them to check my blog out.
