Do you get bothered when you're talking a person and he/she didn't have an eye contact with you? When you talk do you make an eye contact? Do you think it's very important for someone to have an eye contact when talking?

Hi careguarden . Yes, it does bother me. When there is little or no eye contact I have to wonder if they are telling me the truth. However, when someone is busy and doing something, I can understand why there might not be eye contact.

Oh, well when someone is doing something then I don't mind of that person is not making an eye contact, although I would appreciate if that person stop what he/she's doing and look at me, especially when I'm talking serious and important matter. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

It depends. I sometimes get bothered by someone not making eye contact when they're talking to me and sometimes I don't get bothered by it at all. If I think the person is trying to lie to me or is hiding something from me than yes, of course I am bothered. If the person is just shy or ashamed or something similar to that then I am ok with them not making eye contact.

Oh, yeah I got you. I also experienced the same thing, as there are people who's kinda shy or not confident enough with their self that they tend not to look at you. Well that's an excuses. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy the rest of the weekends!

I get bothered by it actually. And the truth is, even myself, I seldom make eye contact with a person I'm talking with. I usually don't make one with people I barely know. I always however do eye contact when I am talkng with a close friend.

Yeah, anyone gets bother when the person they talk don't look at them and staring to somewhere it makes you feel that the person is not interested with what you said. I do that as well sometimes, especially when I'm not interested with what the person talking, because it's rude to make tell the person straight that you're not interested, so for me it's true that when the person don't make an eye contact while you're talking is not interested with what you said. Although it's opposite with you, as you don't make an eye contact only when you barely know the person, only those whom you are close with. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Yes, I get bothered when talking to a person who do not make eye contact. It distract me. Same as he is also maybe distracted either his environment or what is really thinking.I for one when talking do eye contact. I think eye contact is very important in any conversation. It shows the sincerity of the person to what he is talking about. It gives the other person the thought that he is paying attention to the conversation. There was also one saying that " a person who tells the truth can directly look into someone's eye and able to make eye contact well" but I do not believe to be true to all. For, there are also some people who can do eye contact but do not really mean what his saying nor tell the truth.

Yeah, me either get distracted when the person I'm talking didn't make an eye contact. It makes me feel that the person is not interested with what I said. yeah, making an eye contact gives sincerity to what you the person said although there are those people who master the art of lying and fooling other people so it makes them easy to tell lie while making an eye contact, however in some way those people who knows them well, knows the truth even if they talk and look straight to the eyes. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your weekends!

I can understand well what the other person is saying when I have an eye contact with him/her. Eye contact is important to establish good communication with the person you are talking with. It also shows respect and interest what the other person is saying.

Yeah, eye contact is important to have a good communication because it shows interest and respect and that you're confident and honest with what you've said. Since there are those people who knows how to read others eyes, so it's important to have an eye contact when you want to prove something to the person by talking. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Eye contact has a special significance while talking. The confidence of a person is known by eye contact he makes and something wrong is also detected if he tends to make no eye contact. Some people try to make artificial eye contact while talking in order to prove themselves right. This is known if he makes more efforts to get eye contact or makes eye contact in other wierd ways. Hence also people in dark glasses are not liked by many eople because people think that they do not make eye contact and speak untruth.

Yeah, you're right, you'll see the person when he/she's telling the truth or lies through their eyes,as they said that "eye is the window of our soul." Anyone who able to look straight to the persons eyes knows the truth. In psychology, there are those kind of body language using eyes that makes you know if the person is trying to recall situations or trying to invent lies on their mind. Yeah, being able to make an eye contact while talking is a sign of confidence. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy the rest of the weekends!

Out of respect to the person we are talking to, i think we should look them in the eye. It is very disrespectful not to look the other person in the eye during a conversation. By looking at them we show them that we are interested in what they are saying.
