living each day to enjoy life

I had a really troubled early life, with a lot of violence, and untrustworthy people. I worked degrading jobs I didn't like. I had plenty of money but no real friends. Now my life is wonderful. I have wonderful friends. I work jobs that give me satisfaction and I feel better about myself and I have a husband who loves me and life abounds with peace. I thank God for what I have, because I believe he answered my prayers and rescued me. But no matter what you believe in I think it is really important to strive for a life you can live in enjoyment each day, and who knows if all else fails, you could try a good old fashioned prayer and see what happens. ALl the best to you all for a wonderful life each day.

Hi puppynut! I'm so glad to see that things have turned around for you and that throughout you have maintained a strong faith and close contact with our Heavenly Father. In life, there are ups and there are downs but God never abandons those that love and put their trust in Him. This has also been my experience. We see that life is becoming more and more uncertain as we have entered a time described by the Bible: 2 Timothy 3:1 (Young's Literal Translation) And this know thou, that in the last days there shall come perilous times, So in the days ahead, come what may, we must maintain a strong faith in our Creator. Thanks for sharing your experiences and God bless!

I don't think that prayer is an old fashioned. Prayer is important, it makes you realized that you are not alone in this world. I do agree that people need to live each day to enjoy life, as problems will always coming, stress and other challenging and difficulties will also come, so beleive in yourself, and do not forget to pray, as for me praying like a food to your soul.
