What size bed is best for a 10 year old boy?

We're moving and we're trying to pick out furniture for all the bedrooms in our new house. Our son said he wants a new bed because his old bed was one of those racecar beds and he says he's outgrown it now and wants something more adult-like. Hehe. Anyway, is a double bed a good size? Or do you think a queen sized bed would be better? Room isn't really an issue... the bedrooms are going to be pretty big. I just don't want to get one and have it be too small or whatever. I was looking at some double beds online ( http://www.archerssleepcentre.co.uk/Double-Bed-Frames-c15 ) and I think some of them are pretty cool and he'll be able to keep it until he's 18, but I just want to make sure I get the right size. What would you recommend for a 10 year old? Thanks!

Personally, for a ten year old, I would probably just go with the double bed. I think that would be plenty of bed for him to sleep in and it will still give him plenty of room to move around in his room. I never even had a full-sized bed of my own until I was a junior in high school and that worked just fine for me. However, since you are going to be getting him a new bed anyway, I don't think that there would be any issue at all with getting him a full sized bed of his own.
