What replaced Geocities?

I used to host my free sites in Geocities. Sadly, it closed down. I use Blogger now, but I also want a non-blog web host so I can edit meta tags and stuff. What free web host would you suggest and why? I'm looking for something free, flexible, easy to use and not peppered with ads.

Hi cainoy. I used to have the old Geocities and that was great until Yahoo! bought them, and now have killed it. I use bravehost.com Also try tripod.com, topcities.com, webs.com, 50g.com
