The Silmarillion Movie

I read the first few parts of it then I got lost. Not that I'm quitting! I don't think it would be a good movie at the cinemas, but probably a miniseries. If it were to be on the silver screen, maybe a focus on just one character or event would be enough. The Silm is vast and cannot be contained in 2 hours of film :)

I like "The Silmarillion" and all Tolkien's books very much and of course I'd love to see the movie. But I don't think it will ever exist.

I really like the Silmarillion, but I'm not quite sure it would make a good movie. Maybe parts of it would, but I fear it would be too strange for many viewers.

Technically, the Silmarilion is a collection of stories, and it couldn't be made into a normal movie. You probably could make it into a sries of movies with each story in the book being made into a movie, that is the only way I think it could work.
