Which is healthy? They say that "An Apple a day keeps the Doctor away...", well, I've heard of this one from my friend, "A Banana a day keeps the Worries away...". It's really confusing... xD For you, which is healthier? Why did you say so?

I THINK I HAVE HEARD THAT PHRASE BEFORE THAT AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY BUT I NEVER HEARD THAT PHRASE THAT A BANANA A DAY KEEPS WORRIES AWAY,IT'S KIND OF FUNNY THOUGH..LOL.I DO A LITTLE RESEARCH ONLINE AND SEE WHERE IT SAID A BANANA A DAY KEEPS THE CRAMPS AWAY SO I GUESS IT'S MORE THAN ONE PHRASE FLOATING AROUND ABOUT BANANA.ANYWAY BOTH OF THEM ARE HEALTHY AND NUTRITIOUS FRUITS/SNACKS TO EAT BUT I DO THINK THAT A BANANA IS MORE HEALTHIER THAN A APPLE CAUSE A BANANA HAS MORE SUBSTANCES LIKE VITAMINS A &E,CALCIUM,.phosphorous AND ALSO POTASSIUM.BANANA are high in potassium AND Potassium aids in nerve and muscle function.THE HIGH POTASSIUM THAT WE GET FROM THE BANANA GIVES US ENERGY..EATING ONE BANANA A DAY WE GET A LOT OF POTASSIUM AND ENERGY FOR THAT DAY...WITH THE HIGH POTASSIUM LEVEL IN BANANA IT IS AN ESSENTIAL MINERAL FOR MAINTAINING OUR BLOOD PRESSURE LEVEL AND HEART FUNCTION .APPLES ARE VERY LOW IN POTASSIUM SO WE GET LESS SUBSTANCE FROM IT WELL A BANANA A DAY KEEPS THE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AWAY.

Hi Dolly... I love that "A Banana a day keeps the HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE away..." line of yours. Hehe... Well, I do either think that Bananas are much healthier than Apples, but I wonder why doctors really suggest/prescribe it to patients. Well anyways, thanks for sharing up your idea. I hope I would hear more from others... By the way, watch out your ALL CAPS... xD

In my opinion, both are fruits are healthy. They have different functions can be used by our body and cannot be compared. Both are nutrient sources. An apple is good for people who are experiencing loose bowel movement and dehydration, vitamin C source also. Banana is good for replacement of energy stored for it has great amount of potassium content. Others use if for digestion treatment. I prefer both fruits are healthy. All fruits keep worries away and can take doctors away if you all of them. They give good health and maintain proper diet meals to keep fit and stay healthy.

Hi Genericbe. Well, somehow your right. Bananas are also a solution for those people who are experiencing loose bowel movement. I myself eat Bananas as treatment of such case. Anyways, if you would only be given the chance of picking only ONE fruit, which would it be? By the way, thanks for your response and thanks also for dropping by.

Apple trees don't grow here in my country, but there are plenty of banana varieties here. Banana replaces apple and I never missed to eat one every day. It helps my bowel movements easier to pass due this fiber rich fruit.

Hi Fulltank. Haven't you tasted apples since then? I do agree that Bananas make bowel movements easy. I guess you should also try Apples but still, I'm after Bananas. xD Anyways, thanks for your response and thanks also for dropping by.

They are both very healthy fruits! I think for me I prefer the banana though. It has lots of calcium and such in it. I think they both have some really different vitamins in them. I like both of them but I'll go with the banana!

They're both really healthy. I don't think asking the question "Which is healthier?" is going to get you anywhere. You should really eat a banana and an apple in the same day.

Hi allyoftherain. But if you would have ONLY ONE fruit with you, which one would you choose? That's somehow the point why I started this discussion. Well anyways, thanks for your response and thanks for dropping by.

I haven't been investigating this, but I think that I would choose apple, if I'd had to choose one which is healthier. Apple is also a good mean for cleaning your teeth when you don't have toothbrush with you. Acid that apple contains kills bacteria and biting the apple removes pieces of food from between your teeth. But I think both fruits are good, they both have vitamins and stuff inside. But to be honest, if I had to choose the one I like more by taste, I would choose banana, because it's more exotic than an apple for me.

Hi Biomechanoid. I agree with that. Bananas are better than Apples. But if you are after cleaning your teeth (which is I am totally vain with... xD) and making your mouth healthy, you would definitely choose Apples. But if you are after the health benefits plus the taste, you would surely love Bananas. Nice point. xD Thanks for your response and thanks for dropping by. xD

It is not Banana but the Apple, which got the Adam out from paradise to earth. Therefore I think we should eat more bananas to become more healthy and strong enough to stay fit. People eat an apple but two, three, four or more bananas at one time, hence banana is good.

Hi ias_iffat. Yeah somehow your right especially with that "Adam out from paradise to earth" line of yours... But isn't it that they were tempted by apples? Are people too not tempted with it? xD But anyways, thanks for your response. Thanks also for dropping by. xD
