Anybody else for Limbaugh getting permanent laringitis?

I never liked this guy to begin with. I think he is a spoiled guy that keeps himself in ribs( or whatever the fat cats eat now days) by keeping in controversey over some news item. Now it is his opinion of donating to the Haitian relief fund set up by the White House. In my way of thinking the stupid part of what he says about this is that he feels it will be siphoned off by the government bureaucrats. I agree with the White house's press secretary who thinks this is really stupid. Now the other comment he made which is getting even more flak is where he says that we already give to a haitian relief fund and it is called income tax. It is SOOO true! The president stated just today that he was promising the Haitian people 100 million dollars. So I totally agree with Limbaugh But, I think it should be left up to free Americans as to whether they donate to any relief fund or not. We should have atleast one last thing we can choice for ourselves! Don't you think??!!

I think that we should do what we can to help the Haitians, but only if we want to. I mean, I know it's cruel to think like this, but we're in a crappy place with the economy right now as it is. It should be out of our net (what we actually get as opposed to what we don't, gross) wage, and in that sense we choose. But well, did I get that right, I mean net vs gross?

I can understand that, do for family first, then community and after that, if you can, for the rest of the world. There are still plenty who give, who help, who donate for those things that happen off of our soil.

I realized a long time ago that I couldn't help everyone. My family comes first and I just figure I need to do the very best I possibly can for my little corner of the world and hope for the best for the rest. Unless I come into some extra bucks somewhere along the line that is all I can do.

I'm not a big fan of commentators that tell us how to think and what to do. I think we should be presented with facts. If two sides want to debate that's fine if I'm in a mood for a debate. 100 million dollars might help with the rebuilding of something but that money will take some time. I don't have money to donate right now. I wish I did. Haiti has been suffering a long time. A newspaper article this past year said they were eating dirt. Dirt cookies, dirt and oil and then left to dry as patties on top of roofs. A person can do that once a month and not tear up their insides too badly, but some adults and children are living on that and some pregnant women, too. It's very sad.

The strange thing is, the government was resisting outside help at that point. Now they're allowing help in. So the people that do survive without life changing injuries, maybe they will actually get food and help. I certainly hope so. Some people were trying to get them some help after the dirt cookies article. Mostly organized religious groups. Not sure how well they did. Maybe some where there and were caught in the Earthquake, too.

I miss seeing him on tv.
and yes it should be up to us what we can donate not take the tazes from us that this country needs!.
Like someone said on the news Rant yesterday here .
Charity begins a t hoome and where was all the help and money from other countries we have helped thru the years when we have a BIG natruakl disasster like Katrina. Did yuo see any country flying things in to help those people!

Yes! Canada is about the only that has helped us and that was only the one time.
