Today I have learned through watching TV that the top 3 Phobias experienced by people around the world are Achrophobia, Claustrophobia and Arachnophobia. Acrophobia is an extreme or irrational fear of heights. It belongs to a category of specific phobias, called space and motion discomfort. While Claustropobia is fear of closed spaces or being shut in elevators, tunnels, or any other small confined space. Lastly, Arachnophobia is fear of spiders. In the three I can say that I'm a bit more afraid of closed spaces than heights and spiders. How about you?

I fear nothing among those three but i have a mild fear in riding vehicles, any kind... I got this fear sometime ago when i watched this graphic video of those people who were involved in vehicular accidents showing how they lost part of their bodies or even their lives.. I just don't wanna die that way so everytime i ride cars or buses i make sure i got my seat belt on or grab on to something.. I always get nervous.. The term for this kind of fear is OCHOPHOBBIA or AMAXOPHOBIA (see http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Ochophobia)

None of those scare me at all. If anything I'm shark attack-a-phobic and hitting-the-ground-a-phobic from great heights!lol

I guess I'm a little different. My top three fears are: 1.) NEEDLES (I forget the actual "..phobia" word for this, sorry!) 2.) COMMITMENT (yes. lol.) 3.) DROWNING. I don't know why I'm so freaked out about this concept. I know how to swim. But it still freaks me out.

I have a phobia of ventriloquists dummies, they completely freak me out! I cant look at them at all. I looked it up and its actually called automotonaphobia! I also dont like spiders much but thats obviously a common one.

i fear heights and also spiders by it's not that extreme. I just have that uneasy feeling when i'm on the roof top of a building staring down. I also feel uneasy holding spiders but i use to play with it when i was a kid. I even recall waking up early in the morning so i can still see their cobwebs. So i guess, being uneasy does not equate to one having a phobia does it?

I'm afraid of failure and losing my girlfriend.. I mean terrified of it. I never want to lose her.. I'm slightly afraid of the dark but I will go out into it as a kind of.. therapy. I used to be afraid of sticking my feet out over the bed at night, so I stuck them out whenever my feet weren't cold to get over it. I'm afraid of falling, too.. so I climb up high. Hehe. I kind of do the opposite of all my fears sometimes.
