Sherlock Holmes or Robert Downey, Jr.?

The movie houses had been full during the first day showing of Sherlock Holmes. One commentator asked if the viewers really know Sherlock Holmes or they are just fans of Hollywood hunk Robert Downey, Jr. Well, I am a fan of Robert Downey, Jr. because of his Iron Man portrayal but I am a certified Sherlock Holmes aficionado. What about you?

I like both. I like the stories of Sherlock Holmes with Watson there solving mysteries and such. Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor and I loved the Iron Man movie. He played Tony Stark to a T. I cannot wait until the next Iron Man comes out.

I can't just pick one or the other because I actually love the Sherlock Holmes stories but I was thrilled when I heard that they were getting Robert Downey Jr to play Sherlock because he is my favorite actor and I thought he would be brilliant as Sherlock and I think he was brilliant as Sherlock sense I've actually saw the movie now.

Go for Downey. He is real. Sherlock is just a product of the imagination. How did you find the movie version?

I'm not a fan of either, really, but somehow ended up going to see the movie on it's opening night. 
. Don't ask me how that happened. But I know where this commentator is coming from! The friend I went with was totally obsessed with Robert Downey Jr (not totally sure why..) and that was secretly her motivation for seeing the movie. *shrugs*.

Ha ha! Well Downey, I think, is a witty actor. He transforms into a hunk, believe or not, just by flexing his muscles. He ain't as handsome to me either but boy, he is dashing. That is why your friend was swooning. But did you enjoy Sherlock?

I have been a big fan of Robert Downey Jr for years now, Sherlock Holmes not so much. However, I would love to learn more about him. Roberty Downey Jr. won the Golden Globe for is protray of Sherlock Holmes tonight. Hopefully I will get to see the movie.

I had been busy with many domestic errands I didn't know Downey received the Best Actor award. That is great! As for Sherlock, he is the proto runner of your US Marshals because he solves problems by simple deductive reasoning.
