Honestly a lot of those that say work from home are scams. There are legitimate sites but they are sites like mylot where you can earn a dollar a day if you are lucky. The best way to make money on line is to do several sites. That is what I do, no one site pays enough to make up for a regular job, but if you combine sites and lots of different activities you can do pretty well. The freelance sites are good and pay well but the problem is getting your first project. Once you've done that and got some feedback then it gets much easier. I go for article writing work and save a copy of the article for myself. That way,if they don't pay me for whatever reason then I can post the article somewhere else and earn from it.
There are plenty of genuine sites out there and a fair share of scams too. It's best to do a search when you find a company that you're interested in signing up with and see what other people are saying about them.
And don't part with any cash for joining up with something. These are nearly always scams. You can assume that any site promising you thousands for very little work on your part or asking for a sign up fee is most likely a scam.

There are people who really earn money online while at home however it doesn't mean that it is pretty easy to find a legit site. There are still scams so you better beware of those scams. I have a friend from India who earn $1000 for web designing. However, Being a freelancer will always depends on your skills and work. If you satisfied your employer, they maybe hire you again however please be informed that there are still scams as a freelancer. Good luck and Beware! Have a great day!
