I had used many trial versions of different antivirus softwares to keep the viruses out of my computer's reach. They expires in 30 or 60 days. Now I am using a full version antivirus software in my computer. Now I am feeling a lot of difference between those trial versions and newly installed full version. They work more efficiently than the trial versions of similar brand. The full versions gets quickly updated. They consumes a bit less memory in RAM. They are quick in scanning as well. These thing summarizes into the fact that full versions not only work for longer period but also work more efficiently than the trial versions.

The trial versions doesn't do anything at all, they just make you feel that you have protection, but the truth is they don't protect at all. They urge you to buy the paid version.

Well, I do not agree with you. Of course it may vary from one to one. But trial versions are usually working with no limitation except the time. I say usually, because I know also an AV that for example its update file size is bigger in trial version. I was using ESET Nod32 for a long time (the full version + finding user and password pairs from internet). Now I'm using kaspersky internet security 2010. It was more difficult to find key file for that. I found a trick to get free keys from themselves by simply changing a word in the registry changing it to TRIAL! And, yes: I'm completely satisfied with this trial one.

In my opinion, there is not this much differences between the trial and full versions. Nevertheless, I also suggest using the full version. You may find more useful information on comparison sites to find a better product. As I know the best of 2009 was Symantec, following by Kaspersky and ESET: http://www.av-comparatives.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=139&Itemid=164 happy Mylotting!

Trial versions would only make you check and feel what you would expect from the software that you are trying to evaluate, aside from that its still best to get the full version
