valentines day is fast approaching, it's the time that lovers, couples and families give themselves a break for a date. do you celebrate or go out during this day or have it celebrated a day before or after?

I am not very particular about Valentine's day, but my husband is. This is our second valentine's day together. Last year we had a wonderful time on Valentine's day date. We went out for shopping and participated in a cake decorating competition. I got him a gold ring and he got me a gold earring.

hi rosey19! we usually celebrate this at home on the same day. but if we are too busy we celebrate it after. it doesn't matter as long as you are together and there's love always.

My life may sound boring, but aside from my family (parents and young siblings), I've never celebrated Valentine's Day. Never received flowers, nor chocolates on that day. Never spent the day alone with my love. He isn't a believer of such an occasion. And since we've always been far, he just doesn't see that it's something I'd like to spend. I have told him that several times, but I don't know. Perhaps he's right, Valentine's day is overly commercialized these days. I don't need the attention on that day since he gives the attention to me everyday. Well, he's got a point. But someday, when we're married and together, I'd show him the Valentine's Day that I want, whether he likes it or not. hahaha
