I am most definately scared of storms and hurricanes because each year people die from them. They are not harmless they can really make a mess in society. Floods are also not good you can drown or your car can get stuck in the water. So are you terrified of storms, hurricanes or any other natural disasters?

It is a love hate relationship. I am terrified of their power and destruction but in awe of them too. I lived in Tampa for 3 years - the lightning capital of the United States. We had thunderstorms all the time and hurricanes. I loved to go out to my screened room to watch the storms over the lake - my kids were terrified and kept telling me to come in mommy - you will get blown away!

It was cute and now they are older and my daughter still gets scared. My son is usually ok unless it is a tornado watch. Those scare me too.

I am very calmed by storms. When they are really bad, I find excitement in it. I have faith that god will take care of us all. I believe nature needs storms and they are pure enjoyment to me! I hope you find some peace in them eventually!

Oh well your very brave, but I am terrified by them. If I see one coming near me I would probably run or find some shelter or I don't know really what I would do if a tornado or hurrican was coming towards me.

i'm scared of hurricanes. i live in the south which is nice and warm almost year round but the downside is it's prone to hurricanes. i have been through 2 hurricanes in the last 5 years and it was pretty scary. one time we had to evacuate. so every year during hurricane season (june through november) i get a bit nervous.

I find snow storms and thunderstorms to be terribly exciting and I love to watch. After what happened in Haiti though, I am very scared of earthquakes.

I've sat through a few hurricanes and countless thunderstorms. I absolutely love thunderstorms. The sounds and lightning are very cool. I used to play in them when I was a kid, at least until my mom realized I had snuck out again and came onto the porch yelling at me to get my crazy self back inside. Hurricanes do scare me because of the destructive power behind them. People die, houses are torn down, cars are demolished. Whole lives can be wiped out. However, I'd be a liar if I said I didn't get a rush of excitement during them.
