I've been to several all of the disney theme parks and universal studios. I have also been to bush gardens and hershey park in Pennsylvania. I would have to say I like disney the best, although they are all pretty interesting, each in a different way.

I visited Disneyland in California with my sister. We had a very enjoyable time seeing The Swiss Family Robinson's Tree House, going on the Run Away Train and riding on the ET Ride. I think it appeals to children of two years to sixteen years old. Adults also like it. I was twenty years old when I went there. In my home country Alton Towers is an amazing theme park. I went on the most exciting ride in the world there I imagine. Never again! One day I hope to take my children to Disney World in Florida but we will combine it with cultural destinations as well. I think that Disney like places are expensive but for the memories it is worth it.

tiff0805, If you are talking about the rides, then I must recommend both Cedar Points (Sandusky, Ohio, United States) and Islands of Adventure (Orlando, Florida, United States). I can assure you the rides of your life from both these theme parks and the rides you really must try are: Cedar Points (Sandusky, Ohio, United States): a) Millennium Force b) Maverick c) Raptor Islands of Adventure (Orlando, Florida, United States): a) Incredible Hulk b) Dueling Dragons (Fire & Ice) I don't exactly find it suitable for children below the height of 1.2m and anyone who has some critical medical conditions. Have a nice day. P.S. If your children are still young then I would recommend that you visit Orlando, Florida where it is littered with theme parks for all ages.

I have never traveled to any theme park before, but if you want some exciting experience. Maybe try the horror one in Japan. It was made from an old mad house, and still with horrible atmosphere. It would surely give you some adventurous experience. I don't remember the exact name or address, but I saw from TV that it is really scary... :P Happy Mylotter!
