well, after the end of second day play in the second test match,India is leading over 220 runs. Still,India is having 5 wickets. Dhoni is batting and Yuvraj still to bat. Do you think, Bangladesh will face an innings defeat against India in this second test match ?

I think India should win the match comfortably. In fact if they can declare by lunch tomorrow with a lead of around 350, they have good chance of closing out the match tomorrow itself. But I think unless they get bowled out , they will bat till tea. I do not see India batting again in this test match. The par score for Bangladesh in any innings is around 200 runs and Indian lead is going to be far more than that. Cheers! Ram

Yes, with Bangladesh so low in the ICC rankings even an Indian win would mean that India gains one solitary point. So then the focus will shift to the more important business of South Africa. Cheers! Ram

Hi Ram ! Absolutely, great thinking. I hope your expection come true. I too think that Bangladesh will be bowled out under 200 runs in the second innings. Because, Indian bowlers are in great touch. But Gambhir won't be able to break , Bradman's record. But aboveall,India's win is very important, inorder to maintain world's number one position in test match cricket. Thanx for sharing.

Despite being an Indian fan, I won't really like an innings defeat for Bangladesh as I want India to bat again and watch Gambhir score another century that would equalize his record with Sir Don Bradman.

Yes, i strongly appreciate your idea about Gambhir. I too wish he should break Bradman's record. But looking at the condition of the match, i don't think Gambhir can do. Still i hope for the best. Thanx for sharing.

Its impossible for India to bat again in this match in second innings Gambhir will not be able to score 6th consecutive century Gambhir will get chance to bat in second innings to score hundred only if Bangladesh give India a target of 300 runs plus thats impossible for any country to score 600 runs plus in second innings of the match.

i think india will certainly win the match with an innings. indians are in a strong position, after the 2nd day india have a lead of 226. if india bats today also they will a get a lead about 500 runs.india will have enough time to get out the bangladesh. i think bangladeshies will be able to score under 300 runs. if it happens gamhir will not be able to broke bradmans recors.i wanted to see that , but in the first innings he able to get only half centry. so i dont want india to win by an innings. even if india declare at this position i think india will win, or maximum bangladesh can produce a lead about 150.there is sewag in the opening position so he will score runs quickly.so gambhir will not be able to get that massive record.

As by looking at the situation now I would say it is difficult to give a innings defeat as they have got a good start in the second innings and tamim was splendid in his 151 and took their side to a good start and getting their team to a reasonably good position. Now only 83 runs ahead of the Bangladesh it is hard that India will give a innings defeat but India is in strong position to win the match.
