This is so ridiculous! A woman who was taking an art class at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art has accidentally fallen into a Picasso painting and damaged it. The painting called The Actor sustained a vertical tear of about six inches (15cm) in the lower right-hand corner. But the damage did not affect the "focal point of the composition" and should be repaired for an exhibition later this year, the museum said. I wonder for the rest of her life, how could she make it up?

I agree with you on this point of view. This of course agreat loss as so the old pa intings do notcome with easily its work of art which has sustained by sitting or doing after along time. But the woman may not have done particularly on purpose might be so accidently of so

hi magic9 well I sure would not worry about it if the tear did' not affect the focal point of the composition. I am sure she felt really bad but it was just an accident. she did nothing wrong and it could have happened to any one. I hope she will not agonize over it forever. I mean even though its a famous painting its still just paint and canvas and wood, not worth upsetting someones whole life. Maybe the way and place it was displayed may have played a part in the accident.
