Long hair and weight

From time to time I have heard or read criticism of overweight women who have long hair. I am overweight, and prefer long hair. I have never liked short hair on myself at any age or weight. I usually try to keep my hair at shoulder length or longer. Why is it that many people are against overweight women having long hair? Do you think short hair looks good on women who are overweight?

Whatever fashion it is individualistic and has nothing to do with fat or slim. It is the face that dictates what hair style suits and also it has a lot to do with ones hair per se. If it is curly then I suppose flowing hair would do justice.Also it all depends what is trendy if one is trendy herself. So please be comfortable and do what pleases you!

Thank you! I think a person should be the one to decide what works best for them, and not give in to what someone else they should do!

i think short hair will makes overweight people more beautiful,but not all is like that,everyone wanna looks better,you may ask for some suggestions from ur friends and choose the right style of ur own.

Thank you for expressing your opinion in a positive way. Saying you think short hair looks good on overweight people is nicer than someone saying long hair doesn't look good! I prefer the longer hair, because I like to have some hair around my face. Having short hair just makes me feel like too much of my face is exposed.

Exactly. Why should we give up a look we like for something that makes us look worse, just because someone else doesn't like it?

Hi, I don't think that only short hair looks good on overweight woman. I have some friends overweight with long hair, and they also look okay. If you like long hair, why not? I myself like long hair. So, please you don't need worry at all about your overweight. Happy mylotting.

Yes, I love long hair, and I'm not going to give it up because someone else thinks short hair is better. I've seen quite a few overweight women with short haircuts who look awful, and I think it's because they have a style that's not flattering to their face. (I am not saying all overweight women look bad in short hair, either, that would be as wrong as saying overweight and long hair looks bad.)
