Yes, I loved the Harry Potter books, because they were very entertaining, and you could lose yourself in the Wizarding World for a day or two at a time. I like the movies, too, but they are definitely not as good as the books. In fact, I think that the last movie "The Half-Blood Prince" was fine as movies go, but it was just awful when you compare it to the book. I was very disappointed, although I knew that I would be before I even went to see it, because a couple people that had also read the books saw the movie before I did, and they warned me that I was going to be disappointed. They were right. The movie did not follow the book, there were things in the movie that did not really happen in the book (or at least not in the same way), the movie did not explain a lot of things relevant to the plot of the book that set you up for the last book and therefore should have been in the movie to explain things that will (or at least should) happen in the last movie, and it focused mainly on the romance part of the characters, which was only a very minor sideline in the book. There was only one small line in the movie that had anything to do with the "Half-Blood Prince", and that was the title of both the book and the movie, so I would think that there would have been more about that in the movie, since there obviously was in the book. In stead, the movie focused on all the romance and relationships. Harry Potter was not meant to be a romance novel, so I do not think the movie should have turned into a romance movie with a little action thrown in to keep it a little relevant to the book.

No, I do like the movies and find them entertaining. I just do not like the fact that they do not really follow the books. All of them except the last one have been close enough so that you can pretty much figure out what was going on, even if you hadn't read the book. The last one was so far off track, though, that several of us that had read the books had to explain quite a few things to others that had not read the books, because they were totally lost in some spots. Other than that, I really do like the movies, but of course I do like the books better.

Yeah the explaining part is somewhat tiring specially when the one needing the explanation is not a fan of reading the book version. So you cannot really use the book as a reference to your explanation. In times like this I say maybe they will explain it in the next movie

I'm a big fan of fantasy, and Hary Potter hits the spot. Very creative! I must admit, though, that I was very dissapointed witht eh last movie. There were too many subplots that weren't explained, and it just kinda ended at a horrible spot. I really hope the next two aren't like this one.

Yes, i like the Harry Potter 'world' because it had so imaginative charactares, and the quality of the films are above the avarage.

i love watching the movies harry potter. they always seem to make each movie really good in its own way. my children also enjoy watching them.
