Indian students bashed in Melbourne.

Several Indian students have been attacked In Melbourne, which is deploring. One recently was killed. The Indian government says the attacks are race motivated. While this is possible, I don’t think it is true. On the whole, Australians aren’t raciest. Most of my closest friends are Asian, and I have many good Indian friends here on myLot. I hope relationships between the two countries can improve quickly. Bashings of any description are deplorable. Have you read any reports of these attacks?

I am so ashamed that these people were hurt like that in my country! I don’t know if the attacks were racially based, I would like to think not, because I have always thought of Australia as all embracing of all races and cultures and if this appalling violence is racially based I am shocked; we’re not that sort of place! I guess we may never know why there are sick individuals doing what they do; I just pray that there will be no more and it is worth keeping in mind that the majority of Australians are shocked and disgusted by these events...

The problem is that the attack could be not racial, but in the end someone blamed it as racial. There are many Indian students all over the World.
It could be related to total different issue between students.

Hi my friend Mipen. It is very sad that some Indian students have been attacked in Melbourne. I know Australia is a popular destinations for foreign students. I know that most Australian people like Asians. I have some Indian friends on My Lot. I haven't read any reports of these attacks. I know that some Turkish people were hurt in Germany years ago. I feel sorry for any person that suffers racial motivated attacks. I have some Asian friends and they are lovely people. I have some Australian friends and they are wonderful. Always a small minority can get nasty and that is a shame. Max
