Does ReviewStream Work?

So I came across this site, but seeing as the payout is $50, it seems like it would be really hard to reach, especially since I read that most of the time they buy it at the bulk price (1/5 of the normal price). I was just wondering if anyone has used this site, and been successful with it? It sounds like it could be a pretty good site to make some extra cash on since you can review anything...

I just got my first payout, so I'd say it works. What you have to do is read the FAQ and follow it quite closely. I've had a few reviews rejected, and the problem is that you get the same reason every time. It might be that it's an uninteresting location, but it'll still tell you that it wasn't specific enough. I've "tested" it by writing very similar reviews about different places, so I'm pretty sure it was specific enough. That's not really a problem, but that's my main problem with reviewstream: their feedback isn't really very helpful. However, if you go for electronics you should have good chances of getting your reviews accepted. Also travels and medicines, and I've had all my book and TV reviews accepted. Books and TV seem to be only bulk rate though, but they're fairly easy to write. Remember spell-check and to write long enough. For general acceptance and bulk rate 200 words, for regular rate 600 words + the right topics. There's link in my profil to some of my reviews, so you can see you don't have write great prose or very complicated analysis :-) Just say why you like it or why you dislike it.

Cool, thanks for the advice, I think I'll submit a few reviews and see how it goes :) Are the reviews on your profile ones that were submitted at the regular rate or at the bulk rate?? I'm just curious about some of the topics you wrote about to get the regular rate...

Bulk rate, books are only bulk rate no matter how long you write and I couldn't come up with enough to say about the hostel :-) If you write about electronics they seem to pay regular rate quite often, I've written cameras, lenses, computers etc and they've all been accepted. Also some about travel, mainly airports but I imagine airports and hotels/tourist attractions from the US would work. But that's guessing, I thought I'd try and see if they accept it. That's what I've done for most topics. Luckily I've read so many books I won't run out of bulk rate reviews any time soon. For me the bulk rate works quite well, as I get the book reviews accepted at about 200-250 words, it's not too bad compared to writing 6-800 words for regular rate as I use less time writing 3-4 of the shorter ones than 1 of the longer ones. Good luck!

Cool, thanks so much for the great advice! I've also read quite a few books, so hopefully I won't run out of things to review any time soon =P

I never heard about this site, and you are right about payout. $50 it's hard to reach. I use SHvoong as a review and comment site. On my profile you can get Shvoong link and the payout is $10. http://www.shvoong.com/aff-76281/ here is the link. Take Care and good luck!

If you willing to earn, it does need a hard effort. Since i do not have many times to write, so i just leave it. It is okay if you have times to write, I guess in a month you can have that $50.

Wow, to reach $10 at myLot is difficult enough. To reach $50 will take like forever. And I heard that reviewstream takes a long time to review your submissions; like 4 to 7 days. That's a long time to wait to get your review accepted. I'd rather do my writing where I can get residual income. Write once and earn money every day without doing anything.

I started writing for them 4 months back and I got paid several times. $50 is not difficult to reach. The hardest thing for me was the 1 week waiting time for approval, rejection or resubmission as I had to prove to them that my reviews are worth something. After this, it'll be easier as you quickly find ideas even just by looking around you (instant confirmation is also a bonus). You also get used to writing. The homepage is very useful as it gives clues on what they want to buy. I also look in their archives to see what has been reviewed already. To avoid getting into trouble with them, I just write reviews for RS. I am very happy with this site as it pays fairly and quickly.
