I have pcos and I have been trying to get pregnant for awhile now. I have not started my period yet for this month and have been having regular periods for the past four months. So if you know about PCOS do you think I should go and get a pregnacy test or should I wait longer, I am 4 days late on my period as well. Let me know thanks:)

If you're going to buy an expensive pregnancy test then I would wait about a week or so after your due date for your period. However, if you're really impatient you could pick up a pregnancy test from the dollar store. Yes, they really do work. I used the dollar store brand to find out when I was pregnant with my second child.

Hi Mom,
It's been three days since you posted this discussion. that means it's been a week now. to be certain we can make it two weeks to see if we are truly pregnant. there are test that can detect early stage of pregnancy and you too can have a blood test. Good luck and i am looking forward for a positive result on this. Cheers!

Well I have not had my period yet and still feel as though I could be pregnant. I have a few signs but I cannot go and get another test until I get paid from one of my internet sites. I will try to update this discussion when I know more. Thanks for your positive feedback.

If you still haven't began your period I think that in a weeks time you should take a pregnancy test. If you can't wait that long you could take a pregnancy test tomorrow morning with your early morning urine. If you are pregnant then congratulations. If you are not yet pregnant I hope that you soon will be. It is likely that you are pregnant because even though you have PCOS you have been getting regular periods for the last four months.

As of today feb 21st I have still not started yet. I still have not taken a pregnancy test because I want to make sure. So many times in the past few years I thought I was and I was not. I want to be but I also have been trying that I kinda of gave up so to speak. I might try and take one today and see what happens I will update this discussion as soon as I know something for sure:)

hi momtryhing2makeit you could get a pregnancy test, what does you doctor say about this, as I understand this sort of mimics diabetes and with PCOS you are usually put on metformin to bring everything back to normal. let me goggle PCOS and get back to you.

oh my theres a literal ton of info but as you know you have PCOS your doctor has p robably filled you in on all that, so yes I really would test for pregnancy if you have been able to have normal periods for that long. Hope it all goes well with you, and do see your doctor and get his answers to all your questions too. good luck.
