Which car do you like ? used or new

Now a days purchasing car is real expensive, i remember my first car which i purchased after taking car loan from bank and after using it for 4 years when i sold it i got only 40% back , car was always serviced at dealer and in 4 years i drive only 35000 KM.
Now i have learned the lesson and i feel it is better to purchase used car instead of new car.
WHat you guys think about it ?

I have had 4 cars in my life time so far and they have all been new cars, I am a female and know nothing about cars so I just don't want to take the risk of possibly buying someone elses troubles so to speak...I have never had any trouble with my cars, getting years of good service from each...

I am also soon going to purchase a used car. I really cant affoird a new one.
They are expensive and they lose their value very quickly.
My first car was used.
My second , third and forth car were new.
I am looking for a Ford Festiva, which has done less than 100,000 kms and is aircondioned and manual.
