Has anyone even just walked out of a job?

It's easier than I thought it would be. I walked out on my job in fast food today. The weird thing is I am not afraid of what happens next nor am I elated. I am, as Pink Floyd would say, comfortably numb.

I've never walked out of a job, not exactly anyways. I did work at this one place and called them one day to tell them I wasn't coming back. They were plenty mad, but I just couldn't take working there anymore. That was right after high school . . . so it didn't bother me that I couldn't put them down on my resume in the future for reference. Bravo that you did it, and feel "comfortably numb" about it! (just a little pin prick . . . HA!)
