I've been searching the web using mylot's search facility and i was surprised when i saw a notice that pop up in my screen that saying i earn 7 cents. That's great! so i just continue browsing the net and then i saw another pop up that's giving me a warning due to some suspicious activity. So i stopped searching righaway for fear that my account get cancelled. So my question is is there a limit to the duration we use the search facility?

i am not sure of this, if there is a limitation to the number of times or something, that we can use mylot search engine. i started to explore everything that i usually go, from different pages here. and when i got the results of my search, i looks a bit different, a better search results. but i never noticed the pop-up notice that tells me i earn something or warning for suspicious activity.

i guess you could comment in one of her comments or response to one of her discussions. alice always answer our queries as long as it is related to mylot and members.

Yeah i was planning to raise this up and post a comment on one of her alerts. But i'm still trying to gain enough courage to ask her .

In the 4 years I have been a myLot user I have never (not even once) used the myLot search engine. I still use Goggle for all my searches

I am kind-of concerned about this myself. I have used the search feature several times tonight. I have not won the bonus yet, but I read the post by GoAskAlice (or whatever her name is), and it said that if they feel we are abusing the search engine, they will delete our accounts. So how do we know what they mean by "abusing" the search engine??? I do A LOT of research on different issues. Are they going to delete my account because I do a lot of research on issues or to check spelling while I am posting? I guess I will just have to use the search box sparingly...

I would stop to use the search box for now until it's clear to me the guidelines on how to avoid abusing the system. I don't want to risk my account to be cancelled just for this. I'm sure this did happen to a few only because i only started using the facility this morning.
