there is a notification now that when you have posted discussions that violates the guidelines, then the discussion shall be deleted. (Case 1) Same with when we are responding to a discussion and at the end of the day, it was deleted due to same reason as first case, then our answer will also be deleted. (case 2) Now that Mylot notifies us, do we get earnings as what we are supposed to have? i mean, if in case 1, we have lots of responds and we do comment back. we should have earn some money out of it. when it is deleted, does it mean, we won't get paid as well? in case 2, how bout our responds. will we earn the money?

I received a lot today which got me thinking that i am posting a lot of comments to irrelevant posts. I think the notice needs additional information containing the text that got deleted. By the way, when your post is deleted so goes your earning too.

Yeah how i wish it's that way too but nope buddy, once your post got deleted so your earnings as well. But i think this is a good way for mylot to improve even better. With the new notifications, every member will be more aware and will post only to those relevant topics here. Before i could just post anywhere i want and i couldn't care less but with the current notifications that's being sent us, i would be more careful where and what to post. This would ensure that most of the members will only respond to the discussions worthy responding too.

once a post gets deleted, we also lose a cent. that is the case, if i can remember right. if a discussion is in violation of the guidelines, and we responded to it, then got removed, our post and earnings will go down too.

of course, we have to read and understand the true meaning of the discussion, of a topic that we are responding to, that is in the guidelines. why should you respond to a topic that you even don't understand what the original poster is talking about. and yes, you have to examine the post, the discussion if it has no violation. if you found a violation, then leave and go on with the next topic, look for another. have you read the guidelines? if not, please do it now, before going to your next post. thanks. www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

i have read the discussion and i know what are the violations. i just feel lazy to search the discussion either it has ever been posted before or not since mostly discussions are deleted due to that problem.

then, i should just check the discussion everytime i want to respond.

With the explanations they are giving with the deleted discussions, hopefully people will quit starting discussions that are violations. If we respond to invalid discussions we are responsible. I think we will not get paid for what is deleted. It is okay. It tends to balance out.

Cinoty we are asked in the Guidelines to report any discussions which are violations. It has always been like that. Not only should we be aware of them for when we start a discussion but also when we are responding. A bad workman does not earn if he does a lousy job surely and that is how it is and always has been here on myLot. I have an idea that this will make everyone, and not just a minority, aware of what and where they are posting

if it is the fault of the one who post new discussion, i can understand. but then, how are we supposed to check the new discussion we want to respond to either it violates the rules or not. Well, i think mostly they violate the rules of posting the same discussion.

I really got excited in the announcement that the new mylot has been launched. But after checking my email, I got six notifications, I thought it was only about the newly launched mylot but I was wrong, I got a few deleted posts because the discussion I responded was deleted. I actually don't know how many responses was deleted becasue I also found out two notifications in my spam folder. Thus it mean one post was deleted for every notification? Does that include those that I received in the spam folder? Admin did not mention what discussion it was referring to that's why I don't know if the counting is one is to one, that is one deleted post for every notification. I hope we get a clearer understanding on this because our earnings will be greatly affected.

Before the upgrade it was exactly the same with regards to earnings. If we lost a post, we lost our earnings too. From reading through these responses it is obvious that many Lotters were not aware that their posts were being deleted before because they did not check back. Now we will all know and this should make us wary of where we respond and we should avoid those discussions which are already violations. We should be aware of the Guidelines regardless of whether we start or respond on discussions.

yeah. its true. I think it supposed to be one notification per discussion. if in a discussion, you post 1 respond with more than 1 comments, then it is considered in 1 notification.

your response has made me more apt to make sure I check back with my responses and not only look at the email notifications but go back by and check to see what is going on with the discussion so that I know if it has been deleted. I know now that there is a notification system but it still helps me out by going back and responding to those new responses.

i dont think they can directly delete the discussion as it needs time to check everything about earnings and not only discussions. I think they do the checking just the same time with the earning

zzz.....] I was half asleep when I answered I didnt realize you was talking about the responses to those post. Yea they get deleted too. I dont believe you get paid for them still because if you are posting on a bad subject that is breaking TOS then you should have known better than to post.

You said it Christina! No quality, no pay. It is a violation, it goes. We do not earn for garbage! We never did and we never will! The sad thing is that so many users are only realising this now It has always been like this and this part of the improvements is an eyeopener to many. If only they had understood things properly sooner. Better late than never I guess

I got two such notifications today. I hope we will get paid anyway because we weren't the one's who started the discussion in question, but even more so I hope this means Mylot will keep better tabs on the terms of service and kick off violators.

Whether we start a disussion or respond on it we should ALL be aware of the Guidelines. It is up to us not to respond on those which are violations so that we do not waste our time and lose our earnings. This has always been the case. It is not something new. It is only the notifiers which are new.

Very true, If you reply it is your choice and you choose what u reply to so therefore if you write on a article that is breaking TOS, then sadly I dont think you will get paid for those posts. But I could be wrong by all means.

I got one notification today myself. I know I didn't reply with anything that was against the rules. I read the rules here and stick to them so I don't get booted of mylot because I like it too much. I think it's good that mylot is taking initiative to get rid of topics that are against the rules. I just wish I knew which one I replied to that was deleted so I would know to not respond to those in the future.

Yea it is good I know there is other sites that dont foloow there TOS rules so it ends up letting all the garbage in and makes discussions so bad. Then you have nothing great to talk about and it makes it for a bad enviroment

Hi Cintoy, Not yet study thoroughly yet. Wow, it seems that it will take a lot of time for my lot admin to review every discussion then. I am sure if we leave the comment on our own words and idea, we can earn as it is the principle of mylot.

the problem is not our own idea or not. but its about if we respond on a discussion and the discussion is deleted, will we be paid?

I believe Mys is right you wont get paid for these comments. I also agree on thinking about where we are responding. I am one bad about not paying attention just posting on discussions, I believe this will make me a little more aware of where I will be posting.

Yes it really not fare with us because whatever we discuss and respond they are deducting from my account. So its really un fare with us. But yes we can earn money by giving meaningful responds and discussions.

Not fair? It is up to us to know where we are responding and be aware of the Guidelines. This has always been the case. We do not, and never have, earn for deleted posts. The only thing new is that we are now informed that we have lost them.
