Will there be another series of Lord of the Rings

I am really happy that mylot has dedicated a space for LOTR.coming to the discussion,will there be another series of LOTR in the near future .?I really loved the Movie,Gandalf the Wizard i really love him.[the charracter i mean].Also the story line is soo grippping.What do u think?Shall we request for another series

Well i dont think there is going to be another series since JRR Tolkien, the author of the books in which the movies are based, is not alive, hence he cant write any continuation. Beside in my opinion the story is ok as it is, i dont see a point of doing something aditionally and worst now that the author is no longer alive, that will kill what Tolkien has done.
Maybe you should try reading the books, i liked the books even more than the movies.

I really wanted another series.Why not like Harry Potter which has a long storyline and manu parts.

Yeah well u got the Point too.Quality comes before quantity.Yes now i kNow how it would feel if the Story went Bragging about.

Well as i said the author is no longer alive, and the story was meant as a trilogy, so he did it as that and i really dont see a point of wanting more(beside the story is over, no point on extending something that is already done) . I prefer quality before quantity, so i dont think is neccesary anything more from LOTR.

There won't be another series. The book was written by JRR Tolkein and the movies followed the book fairly closely. I believe that The Hobbit (which follows Bilbo's adventures) is currently in production. The only other work that remains to dramatise would be The Silmarilion but I think that that, since it is not a continuous story, would be difficult to make a convincing movie of.

The Hobbit is in standby i think. I would lovee to see a "The silmarilion" movie but i know it wouldnt be possible, since there are many stories within there. I think it would be a nice option if they made a tv show of Silmarilion. I think that would have a lot of potential.

The blue ray release comes out next month in march. I heard a rumor it will be the entire movie on one disc without pauses. I cant Wait!

Production for The Hobbit started this past March and they are splitting it up in two parts. The first part comes out December 2012 and the second half coming out the following December. Truthfully, I cannot wait.
