Recently i was browsing book store and i found lots of career books which i have never thought about. Books improve grammer, resume, before interview and after interview, cover letters, thank you letters and many more. Do you read career books and prepare for interview ?

I dont exactly read career books. I do have a tax preparation training manual. I start a course tomorrow on being a tax agent. So I guess that kind of book is a type of career manual. I did go through my daughters information on careers and training. I looked up the internet to get ideas about my resume.

When I was in high school I had a class that taught us everything that you listed. This class was a great learning experience for us. These are all good things to know that will help you get a job. Some places that are hiring are looking for professional people, and if you know how to do a resume with no grammer errors with a cover letter you will be better off getting the job. Even to do an outstanding interview, wearing the right clothes and knowing how to respond to question may get you through the door to a job. I think reading these books will give you some good insight to what employers are looking for and how you should present yourself. Yes, read them!
