Well, I live in Southern California so I've been through quite a lot of tremors. Fortunately, I've never experienced any damages or injuries. It's strange but the last one I felt was one that was very jumpy (up and down) while they've usually been like a wave. Most of the time we just wait it out or run outside. We don't trust the "get under the table" rule.

Good question. I don't trust the doorway method either. But the front door is right outside my bedroom, so that's where I'm headed. If I can't get to the outside I'll stay in the foyer-like hallway we have--only the roof will collapse on me not the second floor. It's kind of a no win situation. Of course, there's always prayer--it's always worked for me.

I had this very heavy earthquake back when I was young. We were playing house and we have a months old baby with us.. When the earthquake started the baby started head banging and I can feel all around me was shaking. Im a very scaredy cat so when it stopped I jumped from where I was and went out. I had a very good spanking from my older cousin who were looking out for us..That was really really funny especially when the baby was head banging and all.

..hi.. I've had my personal experience with earthquake.. I was still in grade school when the earthquake happened.. well, I wasn't aware of why the world is shaking.. We were even playing with my playmates and we can't understand why our parents were so worried that they came and fetch us.. we were very innocent then.. It was only when I grow up that I understood how tragic the earthquake was.. many lives and properties were lost.. and it was hard to move on.. It is only then that I felt pity for those people who were greatly affected..

I'm 23 and encountered 2 earthquakes until, no building collapsed but the shaking was incredible and there was a strange deep noise which was caused by the slight movement of the walls(at least i think so)
