I got faked!

Hi Mylotters, How are ya all? Today I went to the mall and watched a movie. I watched Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. It was a fun movie good for teens and the young at heart too. It was based on Greek mythology, anyway Percy is the son of Poseidon in the movie but he doesn't know he is a demigod until strange things started to happen.... lol anyway I won't go any further if you haven't watch the movie you gotta go lol... I did some shopping too. I bought a silk blouse for myself and 2 blouses more for my cousin and aunt and shoes for my sister.... what triggered this shopping spree???? well, I wasn't thinking of buying anything at all but I was upset earlier because I ordered a makeup set from an online seller last January. She said that everything is pre-ordered and the cut off date for pre-ordering was on January 31st. Then I would wait for 2 weeks after the pre-order date to receive my order. It has been more than 2 weeks already, if I had not followed up I would not have gotten information about my order. First she said that she called the customs department and the package has arrived but when she got there she was not able to get the package because the custom had a cut off time. Then she emailed me again to say that she got the package already but it was Sunday and she can't ship it, and she wasn't finish going through the package yet and inserting freebies so she would ship my order on Monday. Monday came and no news from her and then early this morning as I was going through my email I got a note from her saying that her supplier just told her that they did not have the item I ordered so her supplier sent something else but not the kind of brand I ordered and paid for! She said it was a different brand but did not mention what brand and she would give me an additional product plus freebies. By the way I ordered a Mac makeup set....well, I thought at first she was selling authentic Mac product because everything in her website looked and spelled MAC. I got faked! She did not even place a disclaimer in her site that these were just replicas and not the authentic product. When I found out through youtube on "how to spot a fake Mac makeup" video, I really felt bad but I continued with my order because when I found out it was past the pre-order schedule and per policy on her site if it's past the pre-order schedule the customer can't change or ask for a refund. my bad for not doing more search before buying. I really paid a good amount of money for the items I ordered thinking that what I was buying is an authentic Mac product. I found out through the video that Mac does not manufacture more than 15 palettes. Authentic Mac eyeshadow are either in single, double or quad. If you get the 12 or 15 palette you have to buy a refillable pan and then you decide and choose your own shadow colors. Plus you would know it's original because there would be a bar code at the bottom of the pan and each shadow would have a name on the bottom of its container. Replicas don't have names but numbers only. This is what I found on her site. I ordered the 66 Professional Eyeshadow and Blusher kit and well MAC does not manufacture that. It's like adding insult to injury when she could not deliver what I ordered and paid for and by trying to give me another product I don't want and trying to buy me by saying she would give me an additional product and freebies if I accepted the other product. I'm really disappointed and this is was what triggered the shopping spree today. I don't mean to put an excuse on my shopping spree but I just felt so angry that I decided to watch a movie then aside from just watching I went on an impulse buying. I just hope that nothing like this would happen to anyone else. On the other hand I salute honest online sellers who place warnings or disclaimers on their site that what they are selling are just replicas. If the customer buys it then it means she / he really wanted to buy the product. How bout you dear friends if you were in my shoe would you take the offer the seller is giving me? Or would you demand for a refund? Please feel free to share your comments or suggestions. Thanks for reading. P.S I have not yet emailed her back as I was trying to compose myself and not send her an angry letter.

Personally I would be very angry and despite the fact that she said that it was past the pre-order schedule I would still ask for my money back. It shouldn't matter when you ordered it, the fact of the matter is that you were not given the product that you ordered or paid for. I am sure that if you talked to them and told them that you were going to go to the Better Business B they would be more than happy to give you a refund. I can't stand it when people are dishonest. I think that it shows that they just don't care about anyone but themselves. I think that people like this should not be allowed to do business at all, I am sorry that this has happened to you and I hope that things work out for you in the end. Who knows, maybe the makeup will be better than you think. Happy mylotting.

The BBB - I agree. This is the biggest scam in the book. Years ago, they used to sell perfumes out of shop doorways that stank like cat pee and make your skin erupt. Now it's online, it's even worse - cos no-one's there to regulate them, or bang them up in jail.

I would be angry too. I would have told her no after she couldn't get what you ordered and took forever. It sounds too fishy too me, something a scammer would do. I think she is making up stories and playing you like a violin. Get out of the deal now. While you can still do it.
