I have a rabbit and he has been with us for just 2 months. He's so big now and eats a lot. He doesn't seem lonely and he has funny antics. I am now thinking of buying a partner for him but we cannot raise lots of rabbits. Do you think rabbit can be raised solo or will they die because of loneliness?

We have 2 male neutered rabbits. They DO NOT get along. My books I have read say that rabbits do not need companions. hope this helps.

rabbits should be kept in pairs. he won't die of loneliness by himself but chances are he will feel very lonely. i think you should get him a companion, but make sure either that it is another boy and/or both are neutered otherwise you will end up with lots of rabbits. actually rabbits should be neutered anyway - they will live longer, be happier and be easier pets.
if you don't get a companion for your rabbit then you should give him lots of attention yourself.
