Now that the tests are over, what do you think will happen in the one day series, no Gautham Gambhir, Harbhajan, Yuvaraj, and Zaheer for the first two matches at least.Of course Smith is also missing from the south African side.I feel South Africa has the edge in the one day series. What is your opinion?

It will be very difficult for the Indians.I'm sure about that.Though they miss Smith there won't be a great loss to the South Africa's team. But India missing all the biggies. We will Viru and Gauti opening.Match winner Yuvaraj. And last but always the best Harbhajan and Zaheer. So the youngsters have to take it serious. It is great opportunity to Suresh,Rohit,Yousuf.Hope to be the best to happen. ALL THE BEST ! INDIA

I hope Yousuf, makes good use of this opportunity. He is in great form, and should he do well, he will have a permanent place in the team. One more man, who I expect to do well is R.Ashwin, the off spinner from T.N.

I think it would be a good chance for youngsters to make their positions safe in this series. Kohli, Raina and Karthik might be in and I think it would be Sehwag and Sachin at the top. I want to see Kohli continue his good run from Bangladesh to here. Raina also has to continue to develop as a ODI player. I think it could be a 2-1 series. Remember the winner becomes no.2 in the ODI rankings. Cheers! Ram

I hope you mean it is 2-1 in India's favour. One more man apart from the players you have mentioned is Yousuf Pathan, who should do well. I also hope R.Ashwin gets a chance and do well.

Yes definitely! South Africa has a little edge over India talking about ODI and India has to suffer especially with the absence of its main players like Gautam Gambhir, Bhajji, Yuvi, Zaheer! The Proteas have a good line up!

It's going to be really tough. With Gambhir,Harbhajan,Yuvraj and Zaheer out of the first two matches India have to get some new person into their places. But it's not going to be easy to find an appropriate replacement for these players. All four of them are high potential players and their absence is really a blow to the team.Though we have some good players in the side, all of them would have to strike in the games as the South African side is pretty strong.

Yes if everybody plays up to their potential, we can have a chance.

In one dayers the South Africans are definitely the superior side mainly because of their fielding that plays a major part in deciding the outcome of a one day game.Beside India is also without some of its key players still I feel that the Indians will prevail over the South Africans in the one day series. This is because the tracks in India will not suit the South African pacers and so if the Indian batting line up can see off Dale Steyn and Charl Langveldt then there is every possibility that the Indians will be able to post a formidable total. However, the toss will play a vital role.Whoever wins the toss will be having an edge over the other team. The Indian bowling attack without the two strike bowlers will be a boon for MSD as the new bowlers will not be known to the South Africans hence they can't plan how to play them in advance.

Let us hope for a good series. Of late India has not been doing so well in one dayers. Remember the Australian series, where instead of winning the series, we lost.
