Here in the US, you only have to renew your license every so often and when you do a driving test is not required. Do you think as our loved ones age and we realize they should not be driving that it is appropriate for us to take their license?

In some cases, yes, we should be able to have their license taken away from them. Or at the very least, we should be allowed to make a case for it.

In what cases do you think it would be acceptable? Thanks.

I do believe for the safety of them and the others on the roads, that yes it would be appropriate to take their license away. There should be a mandatory test to be taken once we reach a certain age late in our lives. This test should check our reaction times, eye sight, and we should have to have something from our doctors stating that we are still fit mentally and physically to drive a vehicle. I know it would be a pain in the butt, but if they had it I wouldn't mind going through all of it. I know it could end up saving my life or someone else's.

Thank you so much! I think you make a good point. I would be willing to take a mandatory test once I reached a certain age. I do think that the laws should be changed. Thanks.
