Amazon Kindle

Is this product really good? Or should I wish for the Apple Ipad instead? I want a graduation gift and I think Amazon Kindle is the most ideal for a bookish girl like me. Please help.

I believe the Kindle is a great thing to have and if you are a frequent buyer on Amazon.com and use their Amazon Prime, you can probably get a free one if you are currently with them. I would also advise that you check out all of the products; Ipad, Kindle, Nook; they are all good products especially for bibliophiles/bookish folks like us.

Get a Nook from Barnes and Noble. It is far superior to the Kindle. It supports more than one type of format, you can share books with friends, and you can go in-store to any Barnes and Noble and download free stuff, they have new stuff popping up all the time. It has also has the capability to expand the memory. If you are a 'bookish girl' as you say, you will love it! I'm not going to put much stock in the IPad yet, too new.

If You're set on getting an apple product, think of the Ipad as an Ipod touch with a much bigger screen and more functionality..and won't it be offered in an oversized iphone type version later on? The kindle, being a greyscale device,is limited that way, whereas the Ipad could also run the Kindle software, and many other apps that the Kindle cannot.I'd say go with the Ipad!
