I have not chosen a president yet, still open to what is yet to come. One thing I have noticed though is how famous Noynoy Aquino is. However, setting religion aside, do you think he is worthy of becoming the next president?

I will vote for Noynoy too because just like others say, choose the lesser evil. I have trust in how the Aquino's handles a situation and I think Noy can do that even if he's living in his parents dream.

yeah some people talks about his achievements too and i can see how Subic is doing these days and its great. If I wont vote for Noynoy, maybe he's my second candidate. Anyway, lets see who will win if its Gordon its fine as long as it isn't Manny, hehe.

I will vote for Noy because of his capacity and motivation to govern our country. I am disappointed with his detractors, actually, only people who claimed that he is running on behalf of his parents' name, but if you just listen the way he speaks, he always kept distance himself from the achievements of his famous parents. He always said that he wanted to carve a name for himself, though it is difficult to distance himself from his family name, I think Noy deserved to be known independently, as a person. What I like about him is his strong motivation to do what is right, the driving force that pushed him to accept the challenge is a lot stronger than what people believed he is just relying to his famous name. His effort to live up to the legacy of his parents can be an excellent tool to have a clean and good governance because he has reasons to do good, because he experienced first-hand how to live in misery under the environment of corruption, dictatorship and oppression. His strong determination to establish a more honest, transparent government will drive him to perform well as Chief Executive in this beleaguered nation. I like his simple and conservative lifestyle. The most revered Indian spiritual and political leader Mahatma Gandhi once said: A public servant must learn to lived a simple life. Compared to other candidates who have blatant display of wealth and claimed they are intelligent and whatever, Noy is a lot simpler and determined, in every word he uttered, he spoke with conviction. When he accepted the challenge by the people to run as President, he is giving an impression that each and every one of us must be responsive to the call of times, that every one of us has a duty to fulfill. I think this motivation is more powerful because he has a reason to do what is right than the experienced and intellect other Presidentiables currently flaunting.

wow, good for you! At least as early as now you already have a candidate which you truly believe in. I guess if every Filipino is as firm in their convictions and beliefs as how you sound then there is nothing to worry about buying votes and stuff. One thing that stuck to my mind though is what a political analyst said in one TV show and it sounds something like if Noy wins, it will be like his mom's administration. This country will be run by advisors. I do not doubt that Noynoy is a good man with a good heart. What I am so doubtful about is if he will be able to step up from the pressures of being president and let the goodness in him shine.

i have nothing against noynoy.... though i am not voting i guess he is not fit to be a president. this is only my opinion. like the other member said that when he wins, it is his obligation already and there is no mom and dad there to guide him. he is the son of the late president and one of the best senators we had in the philippines but that does not mean that he is as good as his parents. he was not afffective when he wasa senator so it wont make a difference.

I am not against Noynoy but I wont vote for him because I really don't believe he has the capacity to run this country because he has not proven himself as a leader yet unlike the man I am voting for which is Richard Gordon. If you base your vote in accomplishments and leadership, it is pretty obvious that Gordon is the ideal man for the job. Look at the track record people and the fact that Gordon uses his actions to enforce the Filipinos to be the best that they can be is also another good reason to vote for him.

I really don't think he's fit to be the president. He just goes on with the flow. I mean, If Cory did not die, he wouldn't be running for president. I think he was just pressured because he was 'supposed' to follow the steps of his parents. I really feel that he would just be a weak president. He's not even a good talker. I just don't like him. I don't trust anything that he says. I don't know why but I feel that to be a good leader you should excel in things that you were in (for him it's the senate) but he did not excel. So I don't think he's worth it.

Actually I might vote for him if I do not find any competent leaders at hand. I can only see a handful of them but then I can see that their campaign is really not enough for them to make it to the presidency.

we have seen a lot of bright boys and girls run our government but what happened did they bring our country to progress? just wondering... well noynoy did not ask for this to become the president until he was nominated by the people. and for this noy did some discernment to run or not and after that discernment he decided to run because he wanted to change our country's image. well, choosing lesser evil, i might go for noynoy.
