1.Never spend money that is much more than you earn. 2.Avoid unnecessary items that will only push you out of budget. 3.Discipline is the best key to establish 4.Pay all bills and etc. before going out shopping or having pleasure to avoid unsettled debts 5.Prioritized things 6.Learn at least 1peso a day to put into savings, spend only the money that you save when it cost a lot to buy the items. 7.Have other extra income for other extra needs.

It's a really long process and also something that takes so much will power.. I've been trying to save for years now, never seemed to do that.. But in recent months, I've saved a bit, and slowly but surely, I'm trying to set 10% of my salary a month to a savings account and leave it there(make sure there's no ATM card). And then slowly in months, I would have a little savings there and maybe enough for a fixed deposit and keeping the money there and just forgetting about it.. It's hard, but I would suggest you can take 10% out of your paycheck every month, and open a new bank account without an ATM card, and just leaving it there every month and always forget about it during that month so you will be able to save a little month by month.

When my husband and I can we pay more on the bills we have. There is one bill we are trying to pay off so when we can we pay for a few months instead of just one month. This helps free up money that we'd otherwise be spending on the same bill the next month. We have bills, and then we have things we want to buy. We live with his parents so our food is paid for. So after bills we look to see what we have that we can spend, though we do try to limit our purchases not only because of space, but also because of savings. I would suggest saving spare change you have in a jar to be counted and turned into big bills later.

I think you've heard this before: Pay yourself first. See yourself as your own company. A good company pays the salary of the employees. So next time automatically get 10% from your salary and set it aside. After doing so live from the remaining 90%. If you have a credit card, avoid using it; however, if it is unavoidable and you do have to use your credit card do not go beyond your credit limit. Use it only for emergency situations only. If you get the bill statement, pay the whole thing so that you will not pay the interest. Distinguish between needs and wants. Go for the basic necessities no more no less.

What is "etc, etc"? Make a list of everything you spend money on in a month and see where it is going. Often we "fritter" money on things like coffee, snacks, magazines and things that tempt us. Can you consolidate the loans and get a better rate? Can you switch credit cards if you have them? Pay off the thing that charges you the most interest first.

It is really very difficult to maintain the savings. I suggest you to plan for the saving from the beginning itself. Invest some in mutual funds in monthly SIPs. it will give you good return. Keep expenses less in the beginning and you will learn going further. I suggest you to get insured for self first and invest in mutual funds in monthly SIPs.

It does take some work! I would recommend that you get a book called Financial Peace Revisited by Dave Ramsey. He has lots of good basic sound ideas. Most of it is common sense, but with our age of instant gratification, it helps to read and revisit the ideas. I make a budget of my bills every month, and then decide how I will pay them, as we get paid twice a month. Whatever money is leftover on payday goes directly into savings. I also use coupons quite a bit and always shop for discounts. It is very rare that I pay full price for anything. Even my car repairs! I have taken to buying parts online for 50% less or even cheaper than what my mechanic gets them for and only paying for labor. When I buy clothing I only shop clearance racks, discount stores, or even Goodwill. I always pack my lunches and take them to work. When I buy groceries, I usually shop every week for that week only. If you take the time, there are lots of little ways to cut down what you spend, and it will add up if you work at it.

the fact is, it is difficult to save if you have debts. so settle the debts first then start saving. however if those debts are long term such as house loans start saving by making a monthly budget. have a small notebook with you anytime, list all your expenses on that month. on the end of the month look at your list and you will be surprise to see indulges that you really can live without. dont repeat those mistakes. with every salary you receive, save at least 10% of it. save in a different account with no ATM to avoid easy access to the account. but above else dont forget to give something back in return, give a portion to the church..

You have to write down all your expenses and check if you are spending more than your salary. If you are then you will need to cut down oon some things so that a portion of your salary goes to savings. I have yet to find a job that is more than how much we spend.

Well, one good suggestion is that you save first before paying off all your bills. That way, you can be sure to have a savings every after your payday. It's going to be hard to adjust at first, but it's all going to be worth it. And having savings is really important. I'm still struggling for mine, but I'm slowly getting there.

Hi there! To be honest, sometimes we cannot take away our overspending especially when we want to have that kind of thing that we always longed for, though our budget doesnt allow us, but still we pursue in doing it.Our eyes can bring us into temptations. Most of the time,we dont have enough control to have a real budgeting in our life. To have that kind of character, first and foremost we should always put in our mind never to spend money which is higher than our income. Example, if we have a minimum wage per day like 250/day or something, we will never spends more than 250 a day. Instead the best option is to take at least 10peso a day for savings. What is 10pesos after all... Discipline is necessary to have that kind of financial independence. By the time we had enough savings then that will be the time we can have the things we just long wanted. Avoid unnecessary items, that will only kill our budgeting.
