hmm. as for me, i use to get inspiration from observation and reading... keeping an open mind is also a good exercise for searching for motivation. Do not think much of "i have to write something good" or "i have to write something interesting" or other stuffs like that... keep your mind free.. hehe... relax and that's when ideas would come... ^_^

Take a rest. Go out for a walk at the park or just sit down at home and listening to music. What works for me is to keep writing, even though I have no inspiration at all. If I am really stuck, I'd just grab a book or magazine or read articles online on the internet. Reading helps a lot when you're lack of inspiration and that's what I do. After all, all writers were readers in the first place.

I get inspired by a lot of things... Often from: News on tv News I read in papers/online Things my daughter and her friends say/do My boyfriend Personal experiences What I see going on around me (I'll take a tablet and pen to a diner, buy a drink, and sit for hours.. Listening, watching, writing.. I always leave with.. something written down) The turn of seasons Songs I hear Movies I watch

Generally when I run out of inspiration I take a break to enjoy myself. I'll listen to music I love, read a good book, or watch a show or movie I enjoy. If I don't want to be indoors I'll go for a long drive, maybe someplace I've not enjoyed the pleasure of exploring. Get out and do something. Don't worry about writing at all. Just do something fun. Take a day off, or a week off, from writing. Then come back to it. Enjoying yourself is a great way to bring back your inspiration to write. At the very least, it never fails me.
