most names of babies nowadays are unique, some weird, and some just are difficult to say. my name is unique, but when i was in school, when i was little like years when i was just learning how to write, it was a pain for me. it was quite long and i hate writing it because it took me much time to finish writing it than just spending more time answering the test. i wished my name was plain and simple back then. now, it's a trend that most babies have weird or unique names given by their parents, (including celebrity babies). i know this because most of my friends come up with names i haven't even heard before. here are some examples: kisha azumi (the parents are not japanese), odin xavier, hestiya, irie, quizenielle and so forth. i guess now we all want our children to stand out which include their names. so what are the weird baby names you've heard lately? do you also have a unique name? if you're going to have a child what name would you give him/her? thanks for any response ^^

Well I just hope that I dont offend anyone by naming nsmes lol. I often see weird baby names when Im watching Maury Povich. Stuff like Isis(pronounced Ices) and stuff like Kamaury or Damaury(which they clain they named after Maury). ive even see such names as Ghost, Pooh and Q. I honestly dont know what is going through the parents mind when they name these kids like wow you know.

A nephew and his wife named their daughter Dejia (pronounced day-sha) which is a name I've never heard of before. There's a little girl living down the street named Valinia, which is a Spanish name.

I have heard quite a few names that were odd to me, but the ones that the other posters said are actually very common where I live in Miami. Actually my sons name is Amari (nothing to do with maury) and my daughter is Amaya. But the oddest that I have heard recently is Shaundreah, its like Shaun and andrea put together. My sons middle name is also King so I guess you can call that odd or unique.
