8.8 Magnitude

Yahoo's site showed a yellow link saying that Chile was hit by an 8.8 magnitude earthquake. 16 people are confirmed dead and because it was 8.8...the death toll may increase...It's another sad happening. here's the link http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/lt_chile_earthquake

I guess the world has barely recovered from the Haiti quake and here we are again with Chile being hit by an 8.8 quake. I am perplexed why this is happening but I am concerned in my place being in the Pacific area we might just experience Tsunami if the waves would reach us here. Hopefully it won't hit us within 21 to 24 hours.

Ouch! I also hope this type of thing won't hit you there, or won't hit places anymore. It takes a lot of lives in an instant. You are correct that the world has barely recovered from the Haiti quake and here we are again. It such a sad story..Everyday more and more sad story are being shown. It really is sad. My heart goes out to all the victims..

Let us just cross our fingers and hope it wont happen. However, you should take the warning seriously sometimes..Especially if it came from a reliable source...
