I am sure most of you are fsmiliar with the biblical story of "The tower of babel" , if not i will give a very brief outline of the verse's: GENESIS 11:5-6 " And God came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded" "And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they all have one language; and this they began to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. (THE ONE LANGUAGE- THE INTERNET? TECHNOLOGY IS A LANGUAGE, SCIENCE IS A LANGUAGE) Please look up the passage from verses 1-9 and let mn know your thoughts.

Are you suggesting that God actually wants men to have different languages (and different religions and customs) so that they will never understand each other and always be at war over something or other? It makes sense, I suppose, if you really believe that "The Lord your God is a jealous God." (a statement which implies, by the way that there is more than one God). Many people in the past have attributed thunder, lightning, floods, plagues and earthquakes to a direct intervention by God. Some people still do but most of us take a more logical view.

No i wasn't saying that, sorry you miss understood me. I just ment that sometimes the things we create are not always for the better, and in the long may cause more wars then good. Like the concept from the tree of life in the garden of Eden. Look what devastating things mankind has done with the technology it has created getting into the wrong hands (example 911). Humanity needs to mature, we are like kids in a candy store.

The internet will exist as long as computers exist.

It is not that the builder of the Tower of Babel wanted to get to know everyone there and communicate. They wanted to build a tower to heaven and make themselves as gods. Gaining knowledge is no reason to destroy people but having people making themselves gods is. And besides then, the people were giving the mandate to populate the whole world, but what did they do, go to the plain of Siner and build a tower there. With the internet, we are all over the place. We have not all decided to migrate to New York City or some other place, and decided to stay there.

That's sure an interesting view on the world. But, have you not stopped to consider Darwin's theroy of elevlution? He believed humans came from other animals, and that we mankind are animals ourselves. Taking this theroy into account, could it also not be concluded that we are in fact animals, and it is our animal roots that prompt our choices?
