Have you maintained your Promise..?

Generally people say if we do promise we should not over come it.But now I didn't see a single person who stands up with their promise.This is my experience.They just say I swear I will do it.But after some days they are pretending as if they made the promise.Whether the promise made is big or small it matters until it affects others.But I see lot of people keep their promises still alive.Really they are great.If we overcome the promise we made , whether it will affect us or affect the person to whom we made.
Have you keep up your promises ? As for me I made a promise and I still keep it.I don't know how much I made in childhood days.But after becoming a matured person I still keep my promise.How about you ? whether it will affect if we overcome as said in pasts ..?

that's the reason why it's called a promise, gany. promises are promises. to most people promises remain promises, but there are some who really make good on their promises. sometimes, we even use promises to gauge a person's integrity -- whether he stands by his/her word or not. for me, generally, i never make a promise i can't deliver. so, you will hardly find me making promises. i hardly swear also, understanding the complexities it may do on my integrity, specially when it comes to business dealings.

if i know i cant keep a promise then i wont make any promises but instead i will tell them i will try. its better to be honest if you can or cant do it. even if i do promise and i cant keep it i do say sorry to them

I am a person who keeps my promise.
I don't make promises always,becoz,i don't want to broke any promise that i make.
So,before i say any promise to anyone,i will make sure that,whatever it takes,i will keep it.
Andi also hate people who never care to fulfill their promises.
I often lost respect to people who never keeps a promise.
It is better not to say any promise if we cannot fulfill it.
It will hurt the person whom we made the promise.
And,it will also ruin our personality when we always broke a promise.

i really dont want to make any promises if i know i cant make it. but if i do make a promise then no matter what happen i will really make it happened coz i know what it feels if i failed to do it. i used to have bf before who always makes promises but none of them happened. most of the time, it was the guys who made promises thats why i hate those who made but not fulfill it.

Hello Gany!
If I make a promise, I'll keep it. My word is as good as my signature on a contract. Ive been brought up that way to think before I say "I promise". So if Im not sure I can keep my word, I'll tell that person that I'll do my best but cant promise anything at the moment. But if Im sure its something I can do, yes I'll promise and will keep my word.
When you keep your promises, you think others are like you and then you learn that not everybody is like you!!

yep gany i have the same experience but as responding from it seem i am going to become the same kind of person because they never let any one stay as he but experience of situation is also a part of life some time what happen people made a promise but bcause of personnel problem they forgot that they made a promise but wont kept it,so whether we should see the both of side why did they broke their promise well i think before blamming others we should not depend on them thats all in my point of view.

no at all . i think promises are made not to keep it up . i made a lot of promises to myself and others and mostly and would have not kept up any apart from a few . for example at the start of each semester i will promise to myself that i should study from the start and should not be studying the night before . but i would never kept it up i will study only before the night of the exams . i will promise to my mom that i wont bunk the classes and go to movies . but will do it every friday . . most promises cant be kept up .

Friend what you said are not promises.They are named as promises.I too promised to myself that I will study daily but that is different.That is personal.It will affect only us.But I mean promises made to some other person...What you will do if you came to know that the person is affected because you overcame it ?
