New Cast - What are your Thoughts!

They announced last night the new cast for Dancing with the Stars.
1. Shannon Doherty - Actress*
2. Evan Lysacek - GOLD Medal Figure Skater*
3. Erin Andrews ESPN Reporter
4. Buzz Aldrin - Astronaut
5. Niecy Nash - Actress/Comic*
6. Nicole Scherzinger - Singer*
7. Jake Pavelka - Bachelor ?
8. Chad Ochocinco - Football player ?
9. Aiden Turner - actor*
10. Pamela Anderson - actress?
11. Kate Gossellin - wannabe star ?
I have a bit of a problem with a few of them. Like why is Pamela Anderson of all people going to be on. The biggest problem I have is Kate Gosselin - Why isn't she home with her 8 kids. She is so desperate to extend that 15 minutes of fame to an hour. I can't really stand her and I truly hope she is gone the first week. I believe Evan will be the winner, I'm hoping. I just can't believe they couldn't come up with a better bunch of "STARS" that are really "STARS."

I'm cheating a little, since I've seen two shows already. But I think the winner could be Nicole, Evan or Erin. I'm picking Nicole. I'm also picking the first five to go as Shannon (:}, since she's already gone), Kate (I don't like her at all), Buzz, Pamela, and Jake (or Aiden). I think Niecy, although she's not the best dancer, will stick around because of her personality and determination.

I know I can't stand Kate I hope she is gone next week. She is not dancing at all. I thought she was alot worse then Buzz Aldrin. I bet though that Pamela will be around longer because of people voting for her because of her looks. Though she was pretty good last week.

I seldom watch it since they rarely have any "stars" that interest me anymore. About the only interest I have in this new season is the new co-host, Brooke Burke, who is a past winner. Of all of the "stars" Shannon Doherty is the one I hope is gone first since I have never liked her.

Well I like Shannon Doherty more then Kate Gosselin. At least Shannon is a star, Kate is not a star. I was happy to hear about Brooke Burke joining the show. She is a good pick.

With all the list of bigger stars that I've heard say they would love to do Dancing with the Stars, I can't believe this is the list of people they came up with. Some of them are okay. I'm not sure how I feel about Kate Gossellin. Can you really blame her for trying to stay in the spotlight when she has that many kids to support? I've heard she wants to be an actress. I haven't really watch the last few seasons because it's always up against other shows I like better. This cast doesn't make me any more likely to watch this season.

No she is letting fame go to her head and that is why she is divorced. If Kate and Jon had never been on TV they would still be married. She should be home with the kids and go back to being a Nurse. Her poor kids are the ones who are losing out. There father is not around and the mother is off signing books, going on Talk shows and now a dancing competition. Who ever said she was a Star, give me a break. She is not by my standards anywhere near being a star.

I never watched this show. My bigger question is why Buzz Aldrin? How old is he and why does it seem they always have a older "star" on there. I think they are running out of the A list.

He is 80 years old. Like someone wrote above its the "D" list. It passed right through the B and C list.

my dear Lelin1123, Dancing with the Stars is a reality show. 'already' and 'yet-to-be' stars ought to get involved. It is meant to be an all-stars stuff. If so then it would not be a 'reality show'.
Pamela Anderson is not so bad an actress, based on her past acting. I agree with you most of the cast are not clear-cut stars; but then a Star will definitely emerge as winner! The winner could be Evan as you presumed; the winner could also be Shannon, or someone you least expected. You cannot be too certain in reality shows.
So then my dear, let us keep our fingers crossed and pray to God they know why they were casted.

The way I see it the name of the show is "Dancing with the Stars." It has nothing to do with "yet-to-be-stars" in the title of the show. Like many others who have heard about this seasons cast they too don't understand the picks for this show because not all are "Stars." The definition of "Star" is actor or actress who plays a leading role or a famous or gifted performer. Kate Gosselin is not a Star in my eyes by no means, but we are all entitled to our own opinions.

I wish they'd get stars who can dance, rather than lumber across the stage in a way that is painful to watch. I'm just saying.
If you want to see dancers, watch So You Think You Can Dance, not this pathetic attempt by "D-" List stars to realize a little more time in the spotlight.

I love that the "D" list. Exactly that is what it is. I would have loved to see stars like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Maura Tierney, Cybil Shepherd, Aiden Quinn, Pierce Brosnan, Taye Diggs. These are stars. I think this lineup would have been alot better and more fun to watch.

I would, too, would like to see some REAL stars. I don't watch most of the show, just the dancing. The other fluff I can do without. I would like to see David McCallum on there although he's in his 70's and I don't know if he would be able to get very far. He's got class, a record of strong acting and a great sense of humor.
I'd also like to see Jenson Ackles from Supernatural--there's a real hottie! 
And how about Mark Harmon of NCIS or any of that show's superb and talented cast? What about getting some stars that can dance and picking people off the street? The latter would be more interesting than this current crop.
I don't know most of the people on the current DWTS roster and aside from Aldrin and Lysacek, there are only tabloid subjects or substandard actors.
(I'd also like to see the three judges dance)

Yes Mark Harmon would be great to see on this show. If Buzz Aldrin at 80 years old can be on I'm sure David McCallum would do just fine too.

I have to agree that some of these "Stars" are a bit of a disappointment. I had to look up a few of their names to find out who they are. Something tells me that Shannon Doherty might not have much rhythm, but I could be wrong. I'm gonna say Evan is going to go far; he knows how to perform and he has fans now. I'm not sure why Erin Andrews is part of the line-up but oh well. Buzz could be funny to watch. Niecy... we'll see if she can do anything more than open her mouth. We all know Nicole can shake it so she might go far. He's a decent player but I'm kind of tired of Chad Ochocinco. Aiden is trying to follow his AMC castmate's fame. I'm wondering who's gonna have to dance with Pamela's chest- that might be a distraction.

Wow, cool, I recognize a few of the names. The first one I noticed was Evan Lysacek, lol. I think he does have a good chance. He's already got some skills from skating that could probably be applied to dancing, so he'll have an advantage. Also, everyone seems to like him a lot...kinda like when Shawn Johnson was on there with all her fame from the Olympics behind her. I think it'll be really interesting to see how it goes :)

Yes Evan will be the front runner I believe. I just wish some of them were not on like Kate Gosselin.
