Eden Reigel to Join The Young and the Restless

Apparently it is true that Eden Reigel(Bianca) will replace Vail Bloom as Heather on The Young and the Restless. This will be quite a different character for her to play. Hopefully they will change the character with the change in actress.

That's pretty interesting. It's kind of hard to picture Eden Reigel as anything other than Bianca. Why I know all of these characters, I'm not sure. I guess I keep up with the soaps long after I quite watching them. So catch me up, who is Heather on Y& R? I also thought Eden's sole purprose for not being on AMC was because she wanted to do non soap stuff. I guess maybe she couldn't find non soap work...

The role is Heather Stevens, the totally incompetent and biased(in my opinion) assistant district attorney and Paul Williams' daughter. I don't know anything about why Eden's appearances on AMC had become sporadic or why she would be taking this role.

Hopefully it will mean a whole new interpretation of the character. I have never liked the character and, thus, have not been much of a fan of Vail. I do like Eden and don't really want her to be saddled playing a bad character.

As a Vail Bloom fan, I'm disappointed to hear that she is being replaced by anyone. The recasts on Y&R lately haven't been too impressive, Tucker and Adam's replacements especially. I hope Eden can bring some life to the show...even the recasts that haven't been that bad in my view (like the new Malcolm and new Eden) haven't really brought much excitement at all. Unfortunately, Y&R seems way too willing to let good talent walk away. Will AMC fans miss Eden?

I do not think she will be right for the part. I like the Heather who is on right now. Guess it will take time to get use to a new one but in time maybe it will work.
