I think more people are addicted to facebook then they realise. My opinion, if you cant delete it, you're addicted. I startd one in my freshmn year then deleted it the week before sophmore. because why look into facebook for other people's lives. communicating through phone calls and emails is better if you cant see people in person. Technolgy is enabling people to lose value in everything, nothing is personal anymore. I remade a new one about a month ago, its kinda boring, but i rather use it in moderation-network and keep in touch but not play games 24/7

I was before two weeks ago. I got addicted first in playing farmville but when I found out about the Naruto Shippuden Application (its just like mafia wars) and had a lot of friends, I really can't live a day without logging in. There's this task every now and then and I get to chat to my wonderful teammates everytime. I even elected as one of the officers in an NSO-HLV subgroup. But I'm trying to resist the Facebook addiction recently and divert myself on looking for something to do online where I could earn a little penny. Although I still play NSO sometimes and leveling up as well as I play farmtown and visiting it every 3 days I see to it that I don't spend too much like only not more than an hour. I think it depends on the person if he/she'll be able to come up with something to divert his/her attention to, to prevent FB obsession.

I forgot to mention that I have two accounts there. At first its just for personal but when I got to have thousands of friends I decided to make a new one for personal use only and the other one is just a gaming account. I'm planning to delete it but haven't decided yet since I have a higher level there in farmtown.

Thankyou for sharing! I see what you mean- and I try to avoid playing games because they are addicting :) but mylots is actually a good distraction for me. I like having interesting conversations.

i can't agree with you more, people will do anything to get on facebook, and it is influencing lives more than they realize. i don't have a facebook, and i don't need one. However, i don't agree with the "if you can't delete it, you're addicted" statement. i have many games that i haven't deleted and i'm not addicted.

Yes, it's unnerving how people do not realise their attachment to facebook. When I didn't have an account, it was obvious there was plenty to do besides being on facebook. Thankyou for your point of view! :)

I'm not obbesed or addicted, don't use facebook often. But just wanted to say for me it's the best way to keep in touch with people I don't see often as most don't often check there e-mails but check facebook.

True, I agree, facebook is becoming increasingly more convenient. I re-made mine because many activities I am involved with put more information on facebook than sharing through email. Thankyou for the response! :)

I have to admid that I'm addicted to Facebook as well, but I don't open it that much. It's pretty hard to resist once you open the facebook site and see your profile.
You can't help it when your friends want to contact you in Facebook, it makes me happy.

I absolutely despise Facebook. The only reason I have one is to keep in touch with my best friends in Germany. It is easy to keep in touch.
My facebook routine:
Log on - check messages, reply to messages log off.
You'll never catch me flipping through pictures, or talking to people I hardly know, or haven't spoken with in years.
No messages and I'm off. Would rather spend my time on myLot anyways.

I think I'm addicted to facebook too. if I didn't open my account for hours I'll be very missing it. LOL. but today my habit is much more reduced. I don't update my status every hour any longer. I enjoy facebook cos I found many old friends who I have been separated with them for a long time here. we're like doing reunion on facebook. beside, I like knowing my friends' activity and how their life day by day. I have many friends who live far from me so by facebook I can still have contact with them, share experience and know their latest news. that's why I really enjoy facebook.
